MAKE FITNESS MORE SOCIAL

It can be tough to stick with your exercise if you try to do it alone.

The longer you know people, the more familiar you become with their habits. I have a friend of mine who is always talking about working out. She starts and before long, she mysteriously stops. Six months to a year will pass and she speaks about working out again. I am always the first person (and probably the only person) she calls when she decides that she wants to begin yet another training regimen. She has consistently stated that she cannot start a workout regimen unless she has someone to work out with her. That someone always tends to be me. I have absolutely no problem helping her out when it comes to doing this. in my heart of hearts, I hope that our new-found workout plan results in consistency.  The end result is her reaching her fitness goals.

Find out how I keep fitness going outside of the gym.

We have all been newbies in the gym before. There are always new people walking into the gym with different goals. People want to see how it is to work out. Some others are trying to maximize their Groupon discounts for as long as the exclusive offer they purchased will allow. For the most part, the majority of them are there to begin embarking on a brand-new fitness journey. Sometimes it's easy to spot a newbie. A person floating from machine to machine trying to figure out exactly how to use it. Paying incredibly careful attention to the instructions on the machine to make sure they execute everything correctly. There is so much uncertainty that comes with beginning a brand-new fitness regimen. Sure, it's easy to get on the machine and do something. the problem is you don't always know if you're doing it right.

If there's anything I've learned about success, it's that success happens overtime and not overnight. It's easy to get discouraged if you do not see immediate results. Well, I hate to break it to a few of you, but fitness results don't come in the next day. For this reason, people will get discouraged.  You must stay the course to reach your goal.  Sure, it may be hard at first but start and keep going.  The rest will take care of itself.

Bodybuilding.com - Ask The Big Question: Why Do You Want To Be Fit?

This article conveys a message that I try relaying to people on the regular.  There MUST be something inside of you that will spark your workouts.  For bodybuilders, pills and powders are simply supplements -  they add to the equation.  For others, a workout program with any fancy name is simply that unless you apply its techniques.  Kick this year off the RIGHT way and find what makes you tick.  Light your inner fuse and get the fitness party started.

Check out this article from my friends at Bodybuilding.com.

A Message to the Resolutionists: Get in shape....STAY IN SHAPE

The new year is approaching us again.  And just like last year, everyone's favorite resolution is to get in shape.  Hopefully, this won't mirror last year for everyone where they start working out and have lost the urge by February.

Tomorrow is not promised to any of us.  But if we make a commitment to a healthier lifestyle, we can enjoy all of the tomorrows to come.  So remember that a commitment to getting into better shape is just that:  a commitment.  Don't give up and never let anyone or anything stop your progress.  You must adapt all the things that contribute to you getting in better shape into your everyday lifestyle.  If it means slowly backing away from soft drinks and fried foods, it can be done.  If it means a little less salt on your food or sugar in your oatmeal, it can be done.  If it means exercising and educating yourself on fitness, IT CAN BE DONE!

Just know that every journey begis with a single step.  The longer you keep move, the sooner you'll be ruuning on your way to a healtheir life.  Start the journey, stay the course, and reap the benefits.
